StampFairy Challenge # 20 - A Recipe that Sparkles

Good morning, I am back in time for another StampFairy Challenge. This week we have a bit of a Recipe for you.

Sparkle, 3 designer papers and 2 diecut or punches

For my card, I have used Patsy Toothfairy. I have coloured her with copics. To make the sky, I have followed a tutorial by Annika Ryan which can be found here. I have cut out the image using a nestabilities labels die and for dimension, I have popped up the tooth using foam dots.

All papers for this card are from the Memory Box Minuet collection which I love for all of the blues and greens. Although her wings have been given a coat of stickles for sparkle, it was not enough for me. I have embellished the card using some bling and a shimmery butterfly that I got on sale at Michaels.

Good Monday morning to you all.  I have scheduled this post so I hope that Blogger is playing nice today.

For the Girls - With a Sentiment

As I have a few co-workers who are expecting baby girls in the next couple of months, I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to make a card for a new baby. I have used the super cute Baby Dottie for my card and coloured her with Copics.

I have used an older sketch and some MME papers for the base of my card. the gorgeous flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts. The two pearls were actually white but I coloured them with my Copics to match them with the rest of the card..

This lovely little sentiment is a freebie was designed by Netty who is another member of the StampFairy DT. She has several freebies on her blog so be sure to stop to visit and leave her some love.

Good Wednesday morning to you all. It is beginning to feel a lot like spring but over on the ABC Christmas challenge, it is looking a lot like my favourite holiday.  There were some gorgeous creations for our G is for Girly challenge and we had great fun stopping by your blogs for a peek.

Today is the start of a new challenge and the theme this week is H is for Hotspot. If you have never made a hotspot card before you are not alone. This was a first for many of us on the Design Team but we have all had a great deal of fun once we got over our initial fear. Dorte has created a wonderful tutorial to outline this technique and it can be found over on the ABC Christmas challenge blog.

This is my first card using this technique. The image is from Stampavie and I have coloured the hotspot using Copics. I have opted to also try a Z fold card which I have made using Basic Grey papers from the Jovial collection. I have used a ribbon to hold the card closed and have embellished using some Magnolia dies and a red flower from my Stash.

StampFairy Challenge - Easter Basket

Good morning, it is Monday again and that means that it is time for another StampFairy challenge.

Our theme this week is a little bit different. This time around, we don't want you to make a card, instead we want to see you create or dress up a basket for Easter.

For my project, I decided that I would dress up a basket of flowers that I was giving as an Easter gift. I have used Patsy Easteregg and colored her up in bright spring colours. I used my spellbinders to cut out two purple mats between which I have sandwiched a lacy doily. I wanted the sentiment to stand above the image so I have used some wire which I wrapped around a paintbrush to create the little springs. For a final touch, I have added a generous helpin of stickles and a shimmery butterfly.

A Celebration in Purple

Good morning. I just have a quick post today.  There are a couple of monochromatic challenges out there this week so I played around with this theme a bit yesterday and this is what I have come up with.

The image is Tilda with Small Gift which was part of my Magnolia kit but she is currently available from Magnolia-Licious if you need to have her for yourself. I was inspired by my trip to the garden centre yesterday and have chosen to with the colour purple. All papers are from Basic Grey. As I said, I was inspired at the garden centre and I have embellished my card with these beautiful Hydrangea flowers from Prima which look so much like the beautiful flowers that were on sale yesterday for Easter.

Woohoo, it's Friday and the weekend is finally here. It has been quite a week and I haven't had a chance to do as much crafting as I wanted to do but the work week is over and I have two days to play.

I got myself some new Kraftin Kimmie stamps the other week and I wanted to colour one up.  I chose to use Josephine and I have coloured her up in some bright and cheerful spring colours.

My card is based on the sketch from Moving Along with the Times.

After trying a few  options I settled on these bright papers from Daisy D, a company that I miss dearly as I loved their products. The Kraftin Kimmie challenge was to use stripes and I have chosen to pick up the colours of Josephine's dress in the band in a striped band that goes across the card. I couldn't believe that I actually had some striped paper with all the colours that I had used but I think that it helps to tie everything together.

To add some dimension and texture to the card I have created a little floral arrangement in the bottom corner with flowers from Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts. To balance out the card, I have used a Tim Holtz ticket and some butterflies cut with a Martha Stewart punch and embellished with some bling.

StampFairy Challenge # 17 - A Sketch

Good Morning, it is Monday again and the start of another work week but before I head off to the office I have a new StampFairy challenge card to share with you.

For our challenge this week, Gerda has designed another wonderful sketch.

For my card this week, I have used one of the images from the Lenny Cupcakes collection. I fell in love with these images right from the start and I am sure that you will be seeing these pop up again in the future.  I was lucky this week and I was able to make my card using remnants of papers that were left over from other projects.  As the DP that I used is so busy I left my card simple. I felt that no extra embellishment was needed as it would get lost in the background.

Wow, two posts in one day. This is a record for me.

As you can probably tell, I have been having a happy weekend crafting. Yesterday I stamped and coloured a bunch of images and today I am putting together cards that I will share with you this week. Over on the  

Just Magnolia/Hanglar Stanglar challenge blog there is a DT call going on and I wanted to get this in. 

I have created this card with a few challenges in mind. The image is Tilda with Wedding Gifts which is available in the Magnolia Licious store. I have masked her with the large cupcake and coloured with Copics (big surprise there).

This card is a large one for me, measuring 6 inches which I felt was warranted as my image is rather large. I have followed the great sketch created by Domi for the Simon Say Stamp challenge. I had to take a few liberties with it moving the sentiment and adding an extra band across the bottom of the card as I felt that there was too much white space as a result of the size and shape of my image.

The papers are from the Memory Box Brioche collection.  I am going to have to locate another package of this paper as it is perfect for so many images and going fast. I have used a Martha Stewart punch to create the lacy band and the swirl is a Magnolia die. The flowers are a combination of Wild Orchid and my stash and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

Spring Greetings

Welcome on this beautiful Sunday. Signs of spring are popping up all around and the weather has been lovely and sunny. I hope that you are all enjoying a fantastic weekend. I wanted to pop in and share with you a spring card that I have created.

I have based my card off the wonderful sketch from Sketch Saturday.

I want to enter the special Easter-Spring Extravaganza challenge at Magnolia Licious so I have used Tilda holding Egg Basket from the new Butterfly Dreams collection. This image can be found in the Magnolia-Licious store (click the link above and be taken right there). I have coloured her with my Copics using the colour scheme of Pastels with a touch of Brown for the current Magnolia challenge over at All that Scraps. All of the papers are from the Basic Grey Curio collection which I am quickly starting to run out of, going to have to order more. The flowers which which remind me of the gorgeous apple and cherry trees in the spring are all from Prima.
