Teddy Bears Picnic

If you go out in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go out in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise.

For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.
That is right, it is the start of a new StampFairy challenge and this week our theme is the Teddy Bears Picnic.
Your cards must have the following.
A teddy bear, 2 ribbons, 3 flowers and a sentiment.

For my card I have chosen to use Donny who has cleverly disguised himself as a Honeybee for the occasion. The beehive is a co-ordinating freebie that I printed on patterned paper and then matted to make my card. Donny has been coloured with Copics and accented with stickles and glossy accents before I cut him out, as I cut off the antennae I have re-drawn them with a black marker and added some rhinestones to finish them off. The flowers are from Prima and I used two different types of ribbon to make the leaves.
I hope that you will join us this week. I look  forward to seeing your teddy bear creations. Before you get started, be sure to stop by the StampFairy Challenge blog and see the rest of the wonderful DT creations.
Don't forget that to be eligible for a prize you must use a StampFairy image.

4th of July or Celebration Somethings

Good Morning and welcome. It is Friday and that means that the weekend is finally here and it is time for another Stamp Something challenge.
Our theme this week is

4th of July or Celebration Somethings

For my card today I have used Dangling Sea Tilda which you can find from our Sponsor Simon Says Stamp.

This is actually the first time that this image has made it onto a card even though I have had it for a year as I have found her to be a challenge to colour. I have finally achieved results that I am happy with. In keeping with the theme, I have then added a few stars to the background.

The layout was relatively simple and I was able to put this card together using scraps that were left from other projects. I have embellished the card with a cluster of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Lastly I have added the one element that I am not to happy with, a sentiment in the bottom corner. I wish that I had added the sentiment on a tag or something that could be embellished as it does not really stand out enough. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can cover this up for another go, please share.

I hope that you have been inspired to join us this week. Be sure to pop by the Stamp Something Blog as the rest of the DT have created some gorgeous creations to share with you.

ABC Christmas - M is for...

Good morning, I am so glad that you have stopped by for a visit. Today is the start of another great challenge over on the ABC Christmas Challenge blog.
Our hostess this week is Delphine and she has chosen the theme of

Monochromatic Cards

Our sponsor this week is Wags N Whiskers who have generously offered 4 digi stamps for one lucky participant.

Please take our logo to display on your blog :-)

For my card this week I have used this beautiful fairy from Wags N Whiskers. I have coloured her in shades of red and added a generous dose of stickles in 2 different shades for some sparkle and glitz.
The designer papers are a mix of Basic Grey, MME and K and Company. I have also used some white glitter paper which I stamped with the Hero Arts starry night background (don't try this if you are in a hurry, it takes forever and a day to dry).

The layout for my card was based on a great sketch from this week's Cupcake Crafts Challenge.

To embellish the card I have used a rose from an unknown source and some of my favorite cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts, I feel an order coming on when our postal strike is over. My supply is starting to dwindle. To finish it off, I have added a sentiment from Lili of the Valley.

Be sure to stop by the ABC Christmas Challenge blog and see the other wonderful creations from the rest of the DT. I hope that you will join us, I do look forward to seeing what you create.

Getting Sketchy with StampFairy

Good Morning, wasn't this a wonderful weekend. We had two days of sunshine and wonderful weather which made for great patio weather.  Now that Monday is here, it means that it is time for another StampFairy challenge and this week Gerda has created another great sketch for us.

I have used one of the adorable Peekers Kids for my card this week along with the co-ordinating freebie flowers. I wanted to have her peeking over a wall so I have doodled in an extra line for the ledge and then used my Copics to shade in the brick wall. The sky was then sponged with Distress inks to complete my little scene.

Be sure to pop over to the StampFairy Challenge Blog and see the rest of the DT creations.
I hope that you will join us for this weeks challenge. I look forward to stopping by your blogs for a visit.

Stamp Something with Pretty Papers

Woohoo, it's Friday! The weekend is finally here.
To make that even better, they are calling for a gorgeous, sunny weekend and I have nowhere that I have to be so I can kick back with a book in the sun and do some crafting. Yay!

The fact that it is Friday also means that we have another great Stamp Something Challenge for you.
The challenge this week is to
Stamp something with Pretty Papers.
You know, the ones that we all  hide away because we might run out and then what will we do?
We want see you to dig them out and actually use them.

We are sponsored this week by FunkyKits and they have offered up a great prize to one of you who is brave enough to join us this week.

I have used this adorable Hanglar girl that I have had for about a year now and she was still uninked. I figured that it was about time that I finally got around to using her. I have coloured her with Copics and then sponged around the edges of the image with Distress inks.

For the card, I have used some of some of these richly coloured papers from the Stella and Rose line from MME. I really love the way that the gorgeous bright colours of the papers seem to pop the images.
I have embellished the card using 3 different flowers from Prima and Wild Orchid crafts that really picked up on the flowers from the paper. Then I finished it off with a little tag sentiments from an old
K and Company line.

Be sure to stop by the Stamp Something Challenge Blog and check out the gorgeous creations that the rest of the DT have created to inspire you. Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit today and for all of your lovely comments.

Punch It Up

As promised, I wanted to stop by and share my Stamp Something card with you.  It is a little late, I had been working on this card Wednesday evening when my old pup started collapsing and had to be rushed to the emergency clinic. He was diagnosed with Geriatric Vestibular Disorder which basically presents with all of the same symptoms that one would have with a stroke, the most severe being that he would fall down when he tried to walk. Scared me I tell you. I am happy to say that today he is much better and while it will still be a bit before he has all his strength back he was able to manage a walk around the park today.

Anyway, back to my card. the theme this week at Stamp Something is
Something Punched
As I had recently purchased a new around the page punch I was happy to have a reason to put it to use.

Our sponsor this week is Whiff of Joy and with so many summer and male card challenges out there this week I have opted to use my favorite mouse Henry. As he is dressed in a great Hawaiian shirt I just had to pair him with some of the new Basic Grey Lauderdale papers and coloured him with Copics to match.
The layout is based on this weeks sketch from Create4Fun.

I have used an additional punch to mat the vertical strip and I have also used some Magnolia Doohickey dies for the leaves of my flowers which are from Prima. With the addition of a couple of ticket stamps from Whimsy, this card is now perfect for the next male Birthday.

I hope that you will join us on with your own punched creations for our challenge this week. Be sure to stop by the Stamp Something challenge blog and see the gorgeous cards that my new teamies have created to inspire you.

Sweet Baby

Good Morning, I hope that you have all had a wonderful weekend. It is nice to have the longer days and the sunny skies to keep us all happy.
It is Monday again and that means that is is time for a new StampFairy challenge. The theme that has been chosen this week is
New Arrivals
using pastel colours
Some of you may remember this card that I made a while back

For today, I have made the matching giftbag.

The image Chubby Angel can be found in the StampFairy store, he has been coloured with Copics and embellished with Stickles.
I have based the layout of the bag on the sketch from Sweet Stop Sketches although, I have moved the sentiment and the flowers to work with the image and the fact that the bag is vertical.

Here is a close up of the main image panel for a better view.

I hope that you have been inspired to join us, thanks for stopping by. Be sure to stop by the StampFairy store for a look around, there have been some adorable new releases in the last few weeks. For a sample of what you will find there, here is Friday's addition.

Bright Summer Fun

Wow, it has been a while since my last post. I hope that you are all enjoying a bright and sunny weekend. I am about to go finish off my garden but before I do, I wanted to share a sunny little card with you. I wanted to create a card for Father's Day and this Edwin from the Butterfly Dreams collection was perfect. I have actually managed to fit four stamped images on this card.

All of the papers for this card are from MME. and the flowers are Wild Orchid. Yes, I know some of you may be questioning the fact that I added flowers to a masculine card but I am lucky that my father likes the gardens and will not mind a few flowers on his card. It is hard to see in the photo but I have also added stickles to the flowers, snail and butterflies for some summer sparkle.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

Winter Wonderland in Blue and White

Sun, sun, glorious sun. After all of the rain that we have had lately, I am really enjoying the sunshiny days that we are having this week. There is just something about being done with winter clothes and seeing the flowers in my garden that makes me smile. That said, it may seem a bit odd that the card I have to share with you today is a Christmas card. Winter Wonderland Challenges is turning two and in honour of that I have decided to create a card fitting for the occasion.

The background papers were created using the emboss resist technique and a Hero Arts background stamp with some of my favourite distress inks. The focal image is actually a cut out from one of the Bo Bunny paper lines that was out this past winter. I have kept the card simple adding only a rhinestone centre to the snowflake and a sentiment charm from Making Memories.
