T is for Tiny

Good morning, it is time for another ABC Christmas Challenge and this time we have a fun one for you. Our theme this week is
T is for Tiny
For this challenge we want you to make a set of 4 tiny cards or tags.

We are sponsored this week by our very own Lacey with her wonderful store Stamp and Create.

For any of you who have not yet been by her shop you must pop by for a visit. She carries a wonderful selection of goodies for your card making and you are sure to find something you love.
For my cards this week I have pulled out this wonderful snowflake that I purchased a few years ago, I don't believe that it saw any ink last year so it was time for it to be put to use again.

To create the mottled shimmery effect on the snowflake I have inked by stamp with embossing ink and then walked it through a palette of Distress inks that I had laid out on my craft mat. I then sprinkled with Holographic embossing powder and hit it with my heat gun.

To create the cards I have used a Cuttlebug folder to create the snowflake embossed mats. Then layered with a doily punched from a Marianne Creatables die. The snowflake image and final mat were cut using my nesties.

I hope that you will join us with your own tiny cards and tags. I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations.  Before you head off to start crafting be sure to stop by the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog and see the rest of the gorgeous DT cards.

I will be entering these cards into the following challenges:

Santa's Little Helper

Good morning, I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend. today I have some midway inspiration featurng Santa's Little Helper to share with you for the StampFairy sparkle challenge.

I knew as soon as I saw this image that I just had to use it, I just love how sweet this little elf looks. after coloring with Copics I have accented the image with stickles for a sparkly touch.

I have followed the sketch from the Cute Card Thursday using papers from Basic Grey and MME. For the half circle mat I have tried something new and tried a double embossing technique using a snowflake embossing folder and the accenting with holographic sparkle embossing powder. The end result is a card that is loaded with sparkle.

I hope that you will join us with your own sparkle card. Be sure to stop by the StampFairy Challenge Blog for some additional inspiration from the rest of the DT. Have a great day!

Demand a Recount

Just popping by with a quick post. My blog has been a little neglected lately due to a large project at work but that is over now and I am looking forward to have my crafty time back.

I had a 50th birthday party to go to last night and wanted a humorous card so I have turned to Gus from Bugaboo Stamps which I have coloured with Copics. As this is a masculine card I wanted to keep it fairly simple but I knew that I wanted to feature the age in a prominent way so I have cut it out with my Quickutz and popped it up on a circle to make it more of a feature.

I hope that you have a great weekend. I am off to enjoy some time in my craft room and garden before heading out to a movie.

In My Thoughts

Good morning, where did the weekend go? I have not had much time for crafting as work has been keeping me extra busy but I did manage to finish my card for the StampFairy Challenge just last night. I apologize for the photos as it was already dark and this was the best that I could get. Our challenge this week is to make something with Sparkle and I think that you can still see that in my card.

For my card this week I have used Toby Everyday Angel. I love this sweet image and he is a breeze to colour. I have used stickles on the cloud and wings to give the image a generous dose of sparkle. I kept the layout of my card simple adding just a few flowers to match the image. I have also added a metal corner and a shimmery ribbon for an extra touch of sparkle.

I hope that you will join us for our challenge this week. I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations.

I also want to let you know that there is a fun new release at StampFairy today.

It is a great new collection of Christmas images featuring Santa's Little helper and you can find them here.

Deck the Halls

Good morning. Today I have a card to share that I started quite some time ago. As I have not had much time for crafting this week I have been adding the finishing touches to some projects so that my poor blog will not sit empty.

Today I have an easel card featuring Lil Christmas Lolita Willow from Tickled Pink Stamps. This gorgeous gal is just full of fun Christmas spirit as she decks the halls and she needed a card that was just as fun. I have paired her up with some great papers from MME that really picked up on the colours in the image and then used some really bold, contrasting cardstock colours for matting to make it all pop.

As I would like to enter this into the Tickled Pink Challenge where they are having a GDT call, I went digging through my supply of chipboard and found these great snowflakes. After painting them red, I have enhanced them with loads of Stickles and then topped them off with some sparkly mini ornaments that I picked up last year.

I want to thank you all for coming by and for all of the lovely comments that you have been leaving lately, I really appreciate them. Have a great day!

Friends and Flowers

I have been loving all of the Teddy Bo images lately so I decided to pick out a few of my favorites and have a bit of a play with them. The image that I have chosen to work with first is" little ickle elefant".  I have coloured the image with Copics and added some stars and script to the background.

The card has been put together following the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday, which I have rotated to better suit my image.

This is the first time that I have used the new Sweet Threads papers from Basic Grey but they are sure to become a favorite as I love the soft colours in this pad.

After I finished assembling the card all of the edges seemed a bit hard for this soft, sweet image so I pulled out my stash of Wild Orchid flowers. As I don't work in pastel colours often I had lots of flowers to choose from and easily put together a bouquet which softens everything up and pulls it all together.

I want to thank you all for stopping by.

More Stampfairy Inspiration

We have taken a different route over on the StampFairy Challenge Blog and the challenges now last for two weeks in order to give everyone more time to enter.

For the second week of the challenge I have created another fall card following the sketch. I have used one of the new Barry Pumpkins images for my card this week and paired it with more of this great Basic Grey paper.
The flower is recycled from a paper bag. I have diecut the bag with my tattered flowers die, spritzed it with glimmer mists and then scrunched and layered to create a shimmery dimensional  flower.

If you have not already done so, I hope that you will join us for our challenge and if you have already entered please feel free to play along again.

Stamp Something to Say Goodbye

The time has come to say goodbye. I have had a great time being part of the Stamp Something team and will miss these weekly challenges. I want to thank Erin and Denise for having me as part of the team and wish both of them all the best.

In keeping with our challenge name, our theme this week is
Stamp Something
That's right, pull out the rubber and ink it up.

We have several great sponsors this week and that means multiple prizes to be won.

For my card this week I have used this gorgeous Rin stamp from Sparkle Creations. I have coloured here with copics and then paper pieced her robe with origami paper (a task that was a challenge in itself as it was not easy to see where I stamped on that bold print).

The background of the card is also origami paper I have paired it with both red and black cardstock and then added a gold ribbon band to pick up on the paper. I added flowers from Wild Orchid and a sparkly butterfly to finish it all off.

I hope that you will join us for our last challenge. I look forward to seeing all of your stamped creations.

I will return later to link with the challenges that I plan to enter. Have a great day.

Stampfairy Sketch Challenge

Welcome on the holiday Monday. I just realized that I forgot to schedule my post for today as I have gotten used to doing it on the night before I go back to work.

Today marks the start of a new StampFairy Challenge and this week Gerda has designed another wonderful sketch for us to follow.

For my card this week I have done something that I have never done before and created a Hallowe'en card. I have used Tommy Wizard and coloured him up using Copics to match this great paper from Basic Grey. I have followed the sketch pretty much to the letter this time and have used 3 buttons that match the colours in the paper along with a little sentiment that I created using dies and alpha stickers from my stash.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge this week. It really is an easy one and the only requirement other than following the sketch is to use a StampFairy image. Before you head off to start crafting, be sure to pop by the challenge blog to see the rest of the wonderful DT creations.

Stamp Something Digi

Just a quick post to share with you my DT contribution for Digi challenge on the Stamp Something  blog this week.

This image is Gus Golden Years from Bugaboo Stamps one of our wonderful sponsors who were so kind to provide us with images. I must say that I had a lot of fun colouring him and will be looking to get myself some more of these humorous images soon.

I have kept the card really simple this week so as to let the image really shine. The background paper for this card is from Cosmo Cricket, the colours work really well to make the image stand out and are great for a masculine card. I have added a small strip of red cardstock that was embossed and sanded to help reveal the texture. This great sentiment comes with the image and is so perfect that I had to use it as well.

As you may have already read on the Stamp Something blog this will be our last digi day so I hope that you will join us this week.  As with all digi days we have a number of great sponsors who have generously offered up some wonderful prizes for some lucky participants.
I look forward to seeing your digi creations.
Happy Crafting!
