Merry Little Elf

Good Evening, I hope that you have all had a Happy Halloween.
All the little ghosts and ghouls are not at home sleeping off a sugar high.

Between all of my little visitors I have had a chance to do a bit of crafting.
Lucky thing to as I am really cutting it close with the challenge on the Kraftin' Kimmie blog
where the lucky winner will have a chance to be a Guest Krafty Girl.

The challenge is to use your favorite Kraftin' Kimmie stamp on a card so that is what I have done.
When I saw this years Christmas Release I just knew that I had to have this adorable Gift Wrapping Elf stamp, it was in my basket shortly after the magic hour that it was released and this is the first chance that I have had to put it to use

I really love these bright and cheerful papers from MME and I have played with a vibrant and traditional red and green combo. The image has been coloured in Copics and to enhance the image I have paper pieced the gift with one of the patterns in the collection to resemble gift wrap I have also added some tiny polka dots to her dress.

Thanks for stopping by and looking today. I hope that you will come base again tomorrow as I have a secret to share with you.

Sweet George

Good Morning and Welcome back! I hope that you have had a great weekend, I was lucky enough to spend Saturday relaxing at the spa.  If you ever have the opportunity to visit Collingwood Ontario I suggest that you plan to spend at least a few hours at the Scandinave, it is wonderful.

Today marks the start of another StampFairy challenge and this week Gerda has designed another of her fantastic sketches for you to use.

For my card this week I have chosen to use a Christmas Sweetie, if you have not already seen him I would like to introduce you to George CandyCanes.

He has been coloured in Copics and accented with Glossy Accents and Liquid Applique. This great background paper is from the Prima North Country line and I love how it really sets off this image. I have also used some Co-ordinations Kraft core distress card stock which has been embossed and sanded. I am loving the look of this paper.

I have stuck pretty close to the sketch this time around adding a sheer red ribbon and a doily cut using a Cheery Lynn Doily die (gotta get more of these). The metal accent in the corner is from Wild Orchid Crafts and began life in a silver tone but I have coloured it with Copics to tie it into my card.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge. Be sure to visit the challenge blog to see the rest of the lovely creations from the DT. If you have not been by the store in a while you will want to visit there as well. Gerda has been busy and has added several great new collections over the last few weeks.
Here is the latest release for an example.

Bells Are Ringing

Good Morning, I hope that you are all well. Today is the start of a new ABC Christmas Challenge but before I tell you all about it, I must say that you do have a lot of gorgeous unused stash. We had over 200 entries for our last challenge and it was awesome to visit your blogs.

As of yesterday there were exactly two months until the big day.  Have you started making your cards yet. No, well don't worry, there is still time and this new challenge is the perfect reason to get started. Our theme this time around is
V is for Vintage
I know some of you are probably groaning now (I know that I did) but I had a lot of fun with this card and I love the way that it turned out so I am sure that you will too. On top of that we have some great sponsors this week.

Has offered up this gorgeous Vintage Christmas  ribbon and lace Prize

and

Crafty Emma's Store who is offering a £10 voucher to spend in the store.

What is more vintage than Victorian especially at Christmas so for my card I have chosen to work with
Lil Victorian Christmas Lylah from Tickled Pink Stamps. I have coloured her up in gorgeous shades of olive and red to match the papers from the MME Lost and Found Christmas Collection as the papers have a wonderful vintage quality about them.

The rest of the card is all about the details.  I have cut out the image and matted it on this music sheet paper which I have distressed and inked before stitching around it.  If you look close you will see part of a lace doily peeking out from behind. The scroll work along the bottom was punched with a Martha Stewart punch on top of which I have layered lots of flowers in rich Victorian Christmas colours and you will notice that the olive flowers have been given a spritz of glimmer mist for some shimmer.

May Your Days Be Merry and Bright

Wow, only 2 more months until Christmas! It is October 25th and that means that it is time for the Magnolia-Licious Christmas all Year Long Blog Hop.
If you have made your way here from Angelique's blog then you are on the right track. If not, you will want to pop back there as she is the first stop along the way.
If you lose your way pop back to the Magnolia Christmas All Year Long Blog for a full list of participants.

For my card today, I have used Lighting Edwin and coloured him with copics in nice bright and cheery colours to match my new MME paperpad. I have added a touch of glossy accents to the little lightbulbs to make them shine and added a soft pink glow around them.

I wanted to make a fun masculine card. The DP is from a MME paper pad called 12 Days of Christmas that I picked up the other week at the local Scrapfest. I have based my card on the sketch from the CLP Challenge. In keeping with the fun decorating theme of the image I have finished it off with a great dotted ribbon and some fun ornament stickers that I have dangled from a diecut swirl.
I want to thank you for stopping by today. Before you leave, I hope that you will leave a little comment to let me know that you were here. Now it is off to your next stop on the hop Cordine who I am sure will have something gorgeous to share with you.
Hugs!

Just a quick post today to remind you that you still have one more week to enter the StampFairy Halloween challenge. My card this week uses Barry Pumpkins once again but this time he is sitting in the Pumpkin Patch trying to decide.  Once again I have kept the card very simple relying on punches and a few black gems to set off the image and spooky papers that are from an old Costco paper pack.

Be sure to visit the StampFairy shop and see all of the great Halloween images then come by and join us in the challenge.  Hope to see you there.

Bewitched

Just a quick  post to share with you this morning. I have been having some fun with another Halloween image. This time it is Rag Doll Witch from Saturated Canary. This little doll has been so much fun to colour.

The card has a little bit of everything on it.  I have  used papers from Basic Grey and torn the background to reveal the great script paper from Prima underneath. Pulled out the sewing machine to add some zigzag stitching to the background circle. As I didn't have any small black bling swirls I freehanded it to add some sparkle. The flowers are a mix of handmade and mulberry flowers from Michael's. As it was still missing some spooky touches I have tucked in a small bat and a bow made from the most fantastic Halloween ribbon that I could find.

It Was a Dark and Spooky Night...

Good morning, I hope that you have had a wonderful weekend. The warm weather we had last week sure was nice but it sure has turned colder and it now feels like fall. I don't like it one bit but it sure does make our new StampFairy challenge appropriate. For the next two weeks we are asking for your Halloween creations.

For my card this week I have combined Barry Pumpkins with this great Spooky Tree from the Halloween Accessories.  Poor Barry just looks so frightened almost like he is hiding behind that pumpkin that he is holding.  I have coloured the image using copics and then used versa ink and chalks for the spooky night sky.

I have used some more of my Basic Grey Eerie pad to put the card together and as I don't have many Halloween embellishments I have used this great polka dotted ribbon that I picked up for the occasion.

I hope that you will join us for our challenge. Be sure to stop by the Stampfairy Challenge blog and see the spooky creations from the rest of the DT.

What's in Your Stash

Woohoo, it is Wednesday and we are already half way to the weekend again. We are also at the start of another ABC Christmas Challenge and this time the theme is
U for Unused Stash

We have been sponsored this time around by the Simon Says Stamp who have offered up a $15 voucher to spend in the store.
 Photobucket

and also by a wonderful new sponsor Bugaboo Stamps who are offering 7 of their fun digis for a second lucky participant.

Instead of my regular spot on the ABC Christmas Blog you will find me today over on the Bugaboo site. They have provided our DT with some of their great images to use for our cards.

Before I get to my card I will show you my unused stash. It is not that old as not that much sits around without a little getting used pretty quick. The MME Meadowlark papers were a deal that I found two weeks ago and the stamps arrived in the mail just this week.

The Bugaboo image that I chose to work with is called Ruby Christmas Present Stack and I had a blast colouring her. I have embellished the image with a whole wack of glitter and she really sparkles but what's a girl without a little bling right?

I love how all of the black, white and red combo really make all of the other colours in the image pop so I have kept the card pretty simple adding only the sentiment and the large layered snowflake for embellishment.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge. Do be sure to stop by both the ABC Challenge Blog and the Bugaboo blog to see what the DT and our guests have created to inspire you.

Time to Party!

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving to any of you here in Canada.
It has been some time now since my last post but I am ready to get back in the groove.

Today marks the midway point of the StampFairy Birthdays challenge.
For my card today I have chosen Barry Birthday and he is having a little celebration. My nephew's birthday is coming up soon so this was the perfect chance to make a card for him.

I picked up this great pack of papers from MME the other week because I felt they would be perfect for "boy" cards and I have coloured Barry to match. To hide an accidental slip of my pen I have doodled in some confetti, I was a little dubious at first but it really gives the image a party feel. The layout for my card was based on an older sketch from Stamp with Fun and I have popped the image up and added a few buttons for dimension.

I hope that you have been inspired to join us this week. Be sure to stop by the StampFairy Challenge blog for some more inspiration from the rest of the team.
Thanks for stopping by.
