Just a quick post this morning before I head out to see my Dad who is in the hospital at the moment. I wanted to share with you the new ABC Christmas Challenge.
Our challenge for you this time is:

Q is for Quilting
Make a patchwork 'quilt'effect for your background

We have two fabulous sponsors this time:

Prize from Lili of the Valley:

and

Prize from Crop Stop: a $15 Gift Certificate!

My card features one of the newest LOTV Christmas images a special treat that I bought myself a few weeks back when they first came out. She is beautiful and so much fun to colour too. I've added some glitter to her wings and used liquid applique for the snow for extra detail.

For the quilt base of my card, I have used some older MME papers that pick up on the blues and reds from the image. I am thinking that it might have looked more quilted if I had pulled out the sewing machine and stitched the edges but I don't have the time for that right now. To embellish I have dug through my flower stash and found some flowers that are just the right colours. This card has so much texture and such a joyful feeling to it.

I hope you have been inspired to join us.  Be sure to stop by the main challenge blog and see the rest of the gorgeous DT creations.

I will try to stop back later and link this up to a few challenges.
Hugs!

Red Christmas

Hello again! I hope that you are all well.

Today is the start of another great challenge over at Charisma Cardz.
We have some wonderful sponsors this week.
PRIZE ONE

The Paper Shelter is generously offering one lucky winner a $20 voucher to spend in their online store!!
PRIZE TWO

Stamp Fairy is generously offering our second lucky winner a $10 voucher to their online store!!

This week the chosen theme is MonoChrome so I have worked with shades of red and coloured this sweet little Patches Teddy from StampFairy to go with it.  As I really love these busy papers from Basic Grey, I have chosen to go embellishment free for this card which means that this one will be perfect for mailing when the holiday season rolls around.

Be sure to stop by the Charisma Cardz challenge blog and see the rest of the wonderful DT creations. Then I hope that you will join us with some fantastic monochrome creations of your own.

P for Paper Piecing

Good Morning. So nice to have you stop by and visit today. It has been a while since I have posted anything. I got hit with one of those summer colds last week and have not been in my craft room in what feels like forever.

There is still 1 week left for the current ABC Christmas Challenge where the theme is
P for Paper Piecing.

This is the card that I had intended to share last week but I did not get it finished in time for the start of the challenge so I am sharing it for the mid way reminder instead.

I bought this sweet little Mo Manning Elf  with the full intention that  I would be paper piecing the Christmas bauble. This time around, I have coloured her up in traditional holiday colours and used some patterned papers from  a couple of seasonal Basic Grey collections for both the background and the paper piecing.

This is a 6 inch square card. The image is quite large and really stands on its own. All I needed to finish it off was a little sentiment

I hope that you will join us for the challenge.
We are generously sponsored by the lovely Heidi at  Simon Says Stamp who is offering one luck entrant
A $15 voucher to spend in her store

Simon Says Stamp
and
with an awesome £10 voucher

Thanks for stopping by.

Fashionista Birthday - GDT

I am running a day late with this post as I was off at the lake over the holiday weekend and just got back last night. I was asked to be a GDT over on the Fashionista Challenge and of course I said yes. The theme is Birthday or Baby and as you can see, I have chosen to go with a Birthday theme.

This little cutie Tilda from Magnolia was coloured up in shades of purple and pink so I dug through my stash and came up with these gorgeous K and Company papers to match. As I was going for a real girly look, I have also dug through my Wild Orchid flowers stash to embellish.

Pink and Black

Just a quick post today, we have just got back from our little camping trip at the beach and I have not yet done much crafting but I do have a card for the start of today's challenge at Charisma Cardz.
This week our theme is Pink plus 1 other colour.

We have some wonderful sponsors who have generously provided prizes for some lucky participants.
Prize One
Simon Says Stamp
Simon Say Stamp are offering one lucky winner a $20 voucher to spend in their online shop!

Prize Two

Pink Cat Studio are offering our second Winner 5 Digi's of their choice!

Prize Three

Crafty Ribbons are generously offering these sweet Owl ribbons to a third lucky winner!

I chose to work with black as my plus one colour and I have dug out this wonderful Magenta silhouette stamp from my collection. I stamped  and embossed the image with  black embossing powder. The frame did not stamp properly in all places but I love the worn look that it created. I've inked the background with Distress ink and then matted the card adding just a little black ribbon accent to finish it all off.

Thanks for stopping by. I am off to work now but I will try to come back later and link to some challenges.
