K for Kiss

My second post for tonight is for the new ABC Christmas Challenge. Our theme for this challenge is
"K for Kiss"
Use a sentiment with "kiss" included or an image of  "kissing".

For my card I have used this cute Deer Duo image from Bugaboo Stamps. It has been coloured using some fun bright colours to pair with these wonderful papers that were in my stash from MME.  As the image is so large I have kept the layout really simple adding only a simple Kiss sentiment as embellishment.
Be sure to stop by and show us your own "Kiss" creations. We have a fantastic sponsor for this challenge:

The Prize is 3 Digital Images

Hope to see you there!

Tropical Santa

Good Morning, I hope that you are all staying warm. We have had a January cold snap and it is just best to stay indoors here which is perfect for crafting.

Over on the ABC Christmas Challenge, we have a new challenge starting today but before I tell you all about it, I would just like to welcome Fiona, Emma, Michelle and Chris to the team. It is great to have you all joining us.

Our new challenge is being hosted by Wilma and she has chosen the theme of
Bows or Boys

We have two wonderful sponsors joining us for this challenge

Prize

Bugaboo has generously provided some wonderful digis for the team.  Being as it is so cold here, I am trying to think warm and I have opted to use Tropical Santa. Oh how I would love to join him on a warm beach right about now but it is our busy season at work and I don't think that they would think to highly of me taking off to the land of sun and sand. Too bad!

I've stuck with traditional Christmas Colours but given them a bit of a punch to brighten them up for the beach. The sentiment was from a new Hero Arts set I purchased a while back and have not really used yet so you can expect to see more of these sentiments throughout the year. They seem to be perfect for a more CAS style of card which will be good for the mail.  Maybe if I should address them as they get made this year and then they might actually make it into the mail this year.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge, I look forward to seeing your creations.
Hugs, and have a great day. Thanks for stopping by.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

J for Jingle Belles

Good morning, I hope that you are all having a wonderful week. Today is the start of another
ABC Christmas Challenge and this week we are hosted by Samantha who has chosen the theme of
'J is for Jingle Bells'

We are sponsored for this challenge by:

And the fabulous prize is:

For my card (which you can also see over on the Bugaboo Blog today) I have used a Bugaboo image called Make it Snappy - Reindeer Trio. I was very inspired by one of the Bugaboo DT samples and coloured it up in a very similar fashion. I have given the center reindeer a red nose as I figured one of them needed to be Rudolph.

I have then wrapped my card up like a Christmas present using cardstock and finished it all off with a bow topped with some little bells that really do make this card Jingle all the Way!

I hope that you will join us for the challenge be sure to check out the rest of the DT inspiration over on the challenge blog before you head off to start creating.

We Wish You a Zingy Christmas!

Oh my goodness it has been a while since I last posted anything to my blog. Thank you all for coming by for a visit, it is great to have you here.  Somehow I started out so far ahead back in October with most of my shopping already done but somehow I have fallen behind and now there are only 4 days to go.

We have a new challenge for you this week on the ABC Christmas Challenge and this week our theme is
Z for Zingy Colours

We are sponsored this week by

********************

The good folks at Bugaboo were kind enough to provide us with some great images for the challenge this week and I have coloured this super cute Snowman Polka Scarf up in some very traditional Fuschia Pink and Lime Green. How is that for zing?

I have paired it with these great papers from MME and some Coordinations cardstock in that great lime green which I have embossed and sanded to reveal the core colour. To finish off the front of my card I dug around in my stash and came up with some sparkly ribbon and buttons that matched the colour scheme perfectly.

I hope that you will join us for our challenge. I look forward to seeing your zingy creations. Don't forget to stop by the ABC Christmas Challenge blog and see the other fun, bright creations from the rest of the DT.

ABC Christmas - X is for Xerox

If you have been playing along with us you have probably amassed a nice little collection of cards by now. If not, do not worry because this week is a great chance for you to catch up. Our challenge this week is

X of Xerox

Xerox one of our team's cards... In other words CASE
CASE a card by an ABC Christmas challenge Design team member from one of our Challenges from this Challenge or a challenge in 2011.

Take inspiration from their layout...or use the same technique...or colours...or papers...or the same image if you want too!...

We have some great sponsors this week too.

Digital Delights has offered one lucky participant 3 digital stamps of their choice.

*******************
Bugaboo stamps has offered another lucky winner 7 digital stamps of their choice.

I have chosen to case this great card by Lols from the B is for Black and White challenge.
and here is my take on it.

This great image is Snowman Winterbird which was kindly provided by Bugaboo for this challenge. All of my papers are from MME and I have tried to keep them as similar as possible. In addition I have kept all of the original elements of the layout of her card.

I hope that you will join us for this challenge, it really is a lot of fun. Be sure to stop by the ABC Challenge blog and see the rest of the team's Xeroxed creations.

What's in Your Stash

Woohoo, it is Wednesday and we are already half way to the weekend again. We are also at the start of another ABC Christmas Challenge and this time the theme is
U for Unused Stash

We have been sponsored this time around by the Simon Says Stamp who have offered up a $15 voucher to spend in the store.
 Photobucket

and also by a wonderful new sponsor Bugaboo Stamps who are offering 7 of their fun digis for a second lucky participant.

Instead of my regular spot on the ABC Christmas Blog you will find me today over on the Bugaboo site. They have provided our DT with some of their great images to use for our cards.

Before I get to my card I will show you my unused stash. It is not that old as not that much sits around without a little getting used pretty quick. The MME Meadowlark papers were a deal that I found two weeks ago and the stamps arrived in the mail just this week.

The Bugaboo image that I chose to work with is called Ruby Christmas Present Stack and I had a blast colouring her. I have embellished the image with a whole wack of glitter and she really sparkles but what's a girl without a little bling right?

I love how all of the black, white and red combo really make all of the other colours in the image pop so I have kept the card pretty simple adding only the sentiment and the large layered snowflake for embellishment.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge. Do be sure to stop by both the ABC Challenge Blog and the Bugaboo blog to see what the DT and our guests have created to inspire you.

Demand a Recount

Just popping by with a quick post. My blog has been a little neglected lately due to a large project at work but that is over now and I am looking forward to have my crafty time back.

I had a 50th birthday party to go to last night and wanted a humorous card so I have turned to Gus from Bugaboo Stamps which I have coloured with Copics. As this is a masculine card I wanted to keep it fairly simple but I knew that I wanted to feature the age in a prominent way so I have cut it out with my Quickutz and popped it up on a circle to make it more of a feature.

I hope that you have a great weekend. I am off to enjoy some time in my craft room and garden before heading out to a movie.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Stamp Something Digi

Just a quick post to share with you my DT contribution for Digi challenge on the Stamp Something  blog this week.

This image is Gus Golden Years from Bugaboo Stamps one of our wonderful sponsors who were so kind to provide us with images. I must say that I had a lot of fun colouring him and will be looking to get myself some more of these humorous images soon.

I have kept the card really simple this week so as to let the image really shine. The background paper for this card is from Cosmo Cricket, the colours work really well to make the image stand out and are great for a masculine card. I have added a small strip of red cardstock that was embossed and sanded to help reveal the texture. This great sentiment comes with the image and is so perfect that I had to use it as well.

As you may have already read on the Stamp Something blog this will be our last digi day so I hope that you will join us this week.  As with all digi days we have a number of great sponsors who have generously offered up some wonderful prizes for some lucky participants.
I look forward to seeing your digi creations.
Happy Crafting!
