Just a quick post today to remind you that you still have one more week to enter the StampFairy Halloween challenge. My card this week uses Barry Pumpkins once again but this time he is sitting in the Pumpkin Patch trying to decide.  Once again I have kept the card very simple relying on punches and a few black gems to set off the image and spooky papers that are from an old Costco paper pack.

Be sure to visit the StampFairy shop and see all of the great Halloween images then come by and join us in the challenge.  Hope to see you there.

Holiday Treats

Good Morning. Fortunately here we had a lovely weekend weather wise but I know that there are many people that were not so lucky so I hope that everyone is safe and dry this Monday morning..

Today marks the start of a new StampFairy Challenge and this week our theme is
Buttons and Fibers

I have had a play with another new image this week. I did tell you that you would be seeing more of George in the near future. This is Lenny CandyCane and he is from a new collection that was released last week.
I have coloured George with Copics and accented with some puffy Liquid Applique snow. I've used some wonderful sparkly papers from MME and Best Creations for my card and I have finished it off with some red accents that have been stitched with some green floss to match the card. This was a nice and simple one this week but I love the look of it.

I hope that you will join us for our challenge. I look forward to seeing your beautiful creations.
Before you go I want to share with you another new StampFairy release.
This is Barry Pumpkins isn't he just the sweetest thing in the patch?

You can find him in the store today, just click the link below.

I wish you all a great week.
Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Bloghop

Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday Dear Gerda
Happy Birthday to You.

Today is an exciting day for us at StampFairy because today is our dear designer Gerda's Birthday.
We've  been a little bit sneaky and have secretly organized a Virtual Birthday Party! So come join the fun and party with us as we celebrate her big day.

If you have arrived here from Sharon's blog and her gorgeous creation then you are in the right place. If not, I suggest that you hop back to the StampFairy blog so that you can start at the beginning, you won't want to miss a thing.

For my card I have used one of the new images from the Lenny Music collection. After all what is a party without music right. These images are just so sweet.
The card includes all sorts of girly, feminine touches like the glitz and sparkle of the background papers to the gorgeous arrangement of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Tucked in behind is the sheet of music for the song. I think that it just might be
Happy Birthday to You!

That's right Gerda, this one is for you! I hope that you have a great day full of good things.

For all of our followers,  what would a party be without presents. For a chance at winning some StampFairy images of your own, be sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way. On Tuesday we will each draw a name at random from all of the entries and that lucky person will win the image that we have used.

One more thing, don't forget to stop by the StampFairy blog and send Gerda your best  wishes.
Thanks for stopping by, your next stop is Lisa who I am sure will have something wonderful in store for you.

Al Loves Winter

I have been wanting to tell you all some exciting news but wanted to have a card to go with it. I have been chosen as one of the new members of the Stamp Fairy design team. Stamp Fairy has also launched a new challenge blog and this week for their second challenge, the theme is anything goes.

I am especially fond of the Christmas/Winter stamps that Gerda has created. For my card I have used this cute little penguin named Al.  Al Loves Winter and why shouldn't he, after all he is a penguin.  I have coloured him with my copics, the snowball has been filled with stickles to make it sparkle like the snow and I have used some liquid applique for even more of the fluffy white stuff.

The designer papers have been chosen from my stash and they are so old that I don't even know where they come from. A few punches for embellishment and a simple sentiment were all that were needed to finish this card and I now have a flat card that is perfect to pop in the mail.

Be sure to pop over to the Stamp Fairy challenge blog and let the design team inspire you. You don't have to use a Stamp Fairy image to play along but there is a fantastic sale going on at the Stamp Fairy shop, all images are now 50% off.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

This little snowman from Stamp Fairy is all ready for it. Shovel in hand, he is all set for a day in a winter wonderland of the fresh white stuff. I have coloured him with my copics and shaded the background with Prismas. I then applied a good dose of stickles to the snow for some holiday sparkle.

This wasn't my original card idea but when it dawned on me that I could set this cutie in his very own land of snow I decided I would have a try at making my very first shaker card. I had purchased some little shaker box pouches a few weeks ago from my local scrapbook store and they had been sitting on my desk waiting for just the right image. I have used tinsel glitter from Martha Steward to create the snow.

The card has been put together usingpaper from a K and Company stack that I picked up yesterday. A few punches and a simple sentiment were all that were needed to finish it off. I can almost hear him singing now... Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!
