Let's Celebrate Birthdays

Good morning, I hope that you are all rested after a wonderful weekend. I had a chance to spend some extra time playing in my craft room this weekend and wanted to share with you a Birthday card today. I had coloured up this adorable image of Balloon Tilda the other week as I tried to practise my folds and creases, as you can see it is getting better but there is still lots of room for improvement.

Here is what she looks like now. I had been trying to find the perfect papers for this image. Last week while on a shopping stop I picked up some of the new Memory Box papers, these are from the Brioche line. They are gorgeous and so bright and cheerful. I immediately thought of Birthday cards when I saw the cover sheet on this package.  This is perfect because this month's Magnolia challenge over on the All that Scraps Blog is "Lets Celebrate Birthdays". I have worked with a square base as that is what the challenge at 7 Kids College Fund is calling for.  I think that I may have gone a little overboard with the flowers but they are so cheerful and they really pick up the colours of the papers. This is one card that will not be going in the mail.

Well, weekend is over. It is off to work for me today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a great day!

A very pretty card. I love the colours and the flowers are gorgeous. You have beautiful colouring.
I post these sort of cards by wrapping them in bubble paper and they go all over the place... successfully too.
