E is for Embossing

Good morning, it is time for another ABC Christmas Challenge and this week the theme is
E for Embossing
You must create a Christmas card that uses either heat or dry embossing and you must use at least 3 different embellishments

We have two great sponsors this week who are offering some fantastic prizes for 3 lucky participants.

Sponsor Simon Says Stamp - $15 shopping Voucher

Photobucket

and

Stamp Boutique
1st Prize = 3 digi stamps
2nd Prize = 2 digi stamps

For my card this week I have used the oh so sweet James with his pile of presents from LOTV and coloured him with Copics.  I have used papers from the Basic Grey Jovial collection as the background and matted my image with a mat that I made using some Coredinations cardstock which has been embossed in my Cuttlebug and then sanded lightly to reveal the core colour.

My card inadvertently became an easel card when I finished layering all my papers and image and realize that I had built the card upside down. As top opening cards don't tend to stand well I cut the front off and turned it into an easel card.  I used another embossed piece of cardstock as a mat for my sentiment which I heat embossed and then I uses some distress inks to tone it to match my card.
The card was finished off with a sheer red ribbon bow, a poinsettia  and some bling.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope that you have been inspired to join us. Be sure to stop by the
ABC Christmas Challenge blog and see the gorgeous card that the rest of the DT have created.

This card will be entered into the following challenges;

Hi Carissa I love all the embossing on the card and your colour choice is perfect. Good save in turning your card into an easel card it is so annoying when you find you have stuck your image on the wrong way up. Thanks for joining us this week at Winter Wonderland love Linda
