April Showers Bring May Flowers

I am finally posting my card for Stamp and Create with Magnolia. Last week when this was supposed to have been posted, Blogger was giving me all sorts of trouble and for some reason it was not saving whenever I posted. By the time that it was working and all sorted out I decided that I would save this card for the mid way point in the challenge.

The theme for this challenge is

Spring Showers

Spring themes image with: Rain, Rainbows, or Clouds.
It does not need to be an image with rain, as long as there are at least 1 rainbow, cloud, or something rain related on your card.

What is a Spring themed image?:
Flowers, Butterflies, "New Beginnings" (baby/wedding), Rain, Sunshine/Outdoors, Baseball, Valentine's Day/Love, Mother's Day, Birthdays. Colors are more bright or pastel.

Prize:

Stamp and Create carries a wide range of Magnolia stamps at some of the lowest prices!

My card features Tilda with Rubber Boots. I have masked her with the bird background from the Sweet Dreams collection. She looks like she is out for a walk after an April Shower and you know what they say about those. I have used some sunny spring colours and added some fresh spring flowers to finish it all off.

You still have one week to join us so I do hope that you will play along.
Have a great holiday weekend and enjoy the sun.

I've paired it with some of my brightest holiday papers for a fun card that will be sure to make someone smile this holiday. I've finished it all of with a simple sentiment that was a perfect match for this card. CAS and perfect for the mail, gotta love that.

I hope you have will find some time to play along, can't wait to see what you create.

Jingle Bells

Good Morning. We are half way though the week and I hope that you are all having a great one.
The weatherman is forecasting warmer weather for the rest of the week and I am looking forward to the holiday weekend that is coming up, can't wait!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at ABC Christmas and this week our theme is
J for Jingle Bells

How you choose to interpret this is up to you but do remember that it must be a Christmas project.

We have been generously sponsored by Wild Orchid Crafts
one lucky winner will receive a £10 gift voucher.

For my card, I have chosen to colour up this wonderful image from LOTV. I've even had another go at using some softer colours (gasp, I think that I might actually be starting to get the hang of it). Anyway, after colouring I dug through my paper stash and paired it up with some matching papers from MME. I've kept the layout simple so that I could embellish it with some over sized snowflake accents, these are actually Christmas ornaments that I picked up during the holiday season. I've added a little bow and some tiny bells to make this a card that rings with the sounds of the holiday season.

I hope that you are feeling a little bit inspired. Thanks for stopping by, now it is your turn to jingle.

Our sponsor Time  for Tea Designs kindly provided the Design team with some adorable images to use for this weeks challenge. I chose this sweet Daisy Chain image, she will be perfect for my niece's birthday later this month. I have had a go colouring it in pastel colours which is a challenge for me as I usually opt for bright but I think that this time it turned out okay.

I've used a Go Kreate Die for the base of my card a a few of my Spellbinders for the different mats. The stitching that you see around the edge is all faux, added with the help of a Distress Ink marker that matched my backing papers. Some flowers, pearls and leaf pins create a little floral arrangement to finish it all of.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope that you have been inspired just a little bit and that you will join us for this fun challenge with your own shaped creation.

Inspired to Create

Hello, it has been so long since my last post. Things have been crazy busy lately and I have not been spending much time at all in my craft room but I am here today with a card for the start of another ABC Christmas Challenge.

Our theme this time around is

I for Inspirational Photo

We want you to get inspired by this beautiful photo and make a Christmas Project.

 ornament wreaths

Our Sponsors for this challenge are the fantastic

and

and they have both generously donated fantastic prizes for some of our lucky participants.

My card this time around is rather simple. I used a Hero Arts stamp that I picked up on clearance after the holidays and I have heat embossed it in green metallic. I've also embossed the sentiment.

Once I had put my heat gun away, I accented with red stickles to add the little berries. Too bad I didn't think that one through though, if I had then I would have matted the card before adding the stickles so that I didn't need to wait for them to dry.

Anyway, I hope that you have been inspired to join us. I am looking forward to seeing the ways that you are all inspired by the photo.

Good morning, I am running a little late with my posts this week as it has been very busy. I am really looking forward to the weekend, no plans other than laundry, crafting and maybe taking in a movie.

There is a new challenge this week at ABC Christmas. Our theme is

H for Holiday Helpers

Our very own Lacey has generously sponsored this challenge through her store Stamp and Create.
And an awesome prize of

For my card I have gone CAS with Little Elf Finn. I have stamped and coloured the image directly onto the card and then paper pieced the ornament before adding a sentiment to finish it all off.  I think I need to work on a few more of these as they will be very easy to pop in the mail come Christmas.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge, I look forward to seeing what you create.

Snowglobe Memories

Do you remember how much fun it was to play with a snow globe at Christmas when you were a kid?
I've got a card to share today that will bring back those memories.

Our challenge this week at Charisma Cardz is to use acetate. I tried a few different things and then settled on an old standby and made a shaker card. You won't be able to tell from the photo but after stamping the large snowflake, I have doused it in Perfect Pearls which gives it a real shimmer all on its own. That wasn't enough sparkle though so I have filled this shaker with iridescent tinsel glitter before matting it on this card. These papers from MME paired with the image perfectly to give the card a real Scandinavian look to it.

We have two generous sponsors who are offering two of our lucky participants some wonderful prizes.

PRIZE ONE
Card Mad Fairy
Prize - 3 Digis of winners choice

PRIZE TWOJ&C Creations £10 voucher
If you are crafting, why not give your own acetate creation a try.

Have a great week!

G for Girly

Good Morning, it has been a long time since my last post. That flu that I had a few weeks back just wanted to hang around and work has been crazy as of late so I have not been up to much crafting.

I am hoping that blogger is playing nice today as this is a scheduled post. I am currently laying in the sun on a beach in Roatan Honduras. I will tell you all about it when I return.

Today is the start of a new challenge at ABC Christmas and this week our theme is
G for Girl or Guy Creations
nice and easy.

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is

One lucky Random winner will win 7 Digi images

of their choice :)

As I was running short on time before we left I opted to use a LOTV image that I had previously coloured but had not yet made into a card.
This little cutie matched perfectly with these great papers from MME.  I am trying really hard to keep the embellishments relatively flat for at least some of my cards this year. It seems that I never have enough that can go in the mail when December rolls around. For this card I've limited my embellishements to just a few flowers that pick up the colours in the card.

I hope you will join us for the challenge. I look forward to seeing your creations.
Have a great day and be sure to stop by again tomorrow as I actually have a second post scheduled for this week.

Eyes Down for Bingo

I've stopped by tonight to tell you all about the new challenge over on the ABC Christmas Challenge.
This is the start of our E challenge and Netty has chosen the theme

Eyes Down for Bingo

She has come up with a great grid and you just need to create a new project using three in a row.

To reward your efforts, there are two wonderful sponsors who have generously donated prizes.
Our generous sponsors for this week are :

Stampfary Digis

and

Shape EZ templates who are offering a fab prize:

For my card, I've chosen the line of Blue, Glitter and Ribbon. This cute StampFairy image called George CandyCanes was coloured to match my card base and accented with some puffy snow. The glittery snowflake and ribbon were added as accents to finish it all off.

I hope that you will be joining in on the fun. I look forward to seeing you creations. But before you head off to start crafting, be sure to hop over to the challenge blog and take a look at all the rest of the wonderful DT creations for some additional inspiration.
