Al Loves Winter

I have been wanting to tell you all some exciting news but wanted to have a card to go with it. I have been chosen as one of the new members of the Stamp Fairy design team. Stamp Fairy has also launched a new challenge blog and this week for their second challenge, the theme is anything goes.

I am especially fond of the Christmas/Winter stamps that Gerda has created. For my card I have used this cute little penguin named Al.  Al Loves Winter and why shouldn't he, after all he is a penguin.  I have coloured him with my copics, the snowball has been filled with stickles to make it sparkle like the snow and I have used some liquid applique for even more of the fluffy white stuff.

The designer papers have been chosen from my stash and they are so old that I don't even know where they come from. A few punches for embellishment and a simple sentiment were all that were needed to finish this card and I now have a flat card that is perfect to pop in the mail.

Be sure to pop over to the Stamp Fairy challenge blog and let the design team inspire you. You don't have to use a Stamp Fairy image to play along but there is a fantastic sale going on at the Stamp Fairy shop, all images are now 50% off.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Z is for Zero Time Left

Good morning, I can't believe that it is December 13th already. Welcome to our Z is for Zero Time Left Blog Hop. If you have come from Melissa's blog then you are on the right track. If not, be sure to go back to the ABC Christmas Challenge blog and start from the beginning, you won't want to miss a thing.

This week our challenge is Z for Zero Time Left. The object of this challenge is to pick one of the previous challenges and re-play it and finish of your one or two remaining projects. As I discovered the ABC Christmas challenge rather late this year, I have chosen to play one of the early challenges and have chosen "F for Frosty" with the optional extra of snow. This great image of George has been provided by Gerda at Stamp Fairy, isn't he adorable? These little snowmen just melt my heart. He has been coloured with copics and I have used a white gel pen to add some polka dots to his scarf to match the designer papers. I have used some liquid applique to puff up the snow.

We have two great sponsors joining us this week..

Simon Says Stamp

 Photobucket

who are offering 1 lucky participant a $15 shopping spree with free postage.

and

Stamp Fairy

who are offering prizes to 3 lucky participants.
1st place 3 images
2nd place 2 images
3rd place 1 image.

Along the way, some of us on the Design team (we we're not telling who) will be offering up some Birthday surprises too.  That's right, the ABC Christmas Challenge is nearly a year old and you get the gifts. As you hop along to visit all of us, be sure to leave your lovely comments at each stop to be entered into the chance to win.

Also, be sure to collect a letter from each stop along the way. The letter that you should collect from me is I. Once you have finished the hop and collected all the letters, return to the ABC Christmas Challenge blog and leave us a comment with the festive phrase that the letters spell out.

After that it is your turn to choose which challenge from the past year that you want to play again. Make a card or project following the theme of your chosen letter and post it, be sure to tell us which challenge you have followed. Remember, only post your card after you have collected all the letters and posted your comments, you need to do both to win. The challenge runs until January 1st and the prizes will be drawn and posted when we return in the new year with our first challenge of 2011 on January 5th.

Your next stop on the Hop is Delphine who I know has a gorgeous creation to share with you.

Merry Christmas and Have Fun!
Carissa xx
