Y for Your Family

Good Morning, I can't believe that we are only a few weeks away now from Christmas.  How is your shopping coming along.?  If you are still working franticly to finish off a few last minute Christmas cards then you will need to pop on over to the ABC Christmas Challenge where we are starting with a new theme today.

Y for Your Family
The challenge is to make a card for a specific member of your family.

I have coloured up this little Magnolia sweetie to match a card base that I assembled with some of the scraps that were on my desk. The papers are bold and busy so I have added only a dimensional poinsettia sticker to embellish and a simple sentiment indicating who the card is for finished it all off.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge.

We are generously sponsored for this time around by Fred She Said who are offering a $10 gift voucher for one lucky participant.

A Very Merry Christmas

Good evening, we are getting close to that magical time of the year and we have another great theme for you over on the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog.
This fortnight our theme is
V for Very Merry Christmas

I was having some play time with my Tim Holtz products the other week and this Santa image was one of the end results.  I liked it so I have matted it all up and added a few embellishments and a
Very Merry sentiment to create a vintage card. I think that I may have to go back and hit the poinsettia with with some distress ink and a dauber to age it a bit, it just seems a little too new.

I hope that you will stop by and join us for the challenge.
We are being sponsored this challenge by:
who have offered up a $10.00 Gift Certificate for the Sweet Stamp Store

Remember, you MUST use the words "Very Merry Christmas to qualify for the challenge.
If you don't have one our teammate Samantha has created some for you and they are available on the main challenge blog.

Good Morning, I am back today to tell you about the wonderful new challenge theme that we have for you over on the ABC Christmas Challenge blog. The theme this time around is

S for Something Festive

We are joined by a new sponsor for this challenge.
Freckled Fawn has generously provided a $15 gift card for one lucky participant.

Freckled Fawn also generously provided some of our Design Team with some wonderful embellishments to use for this challenge.

When I first saw the embellishments that had been provided I wondered how I would create a festive Christmas Card, none of the embellishments were typically seasonal.

For my image I opted to colour up this sweet image from LOTV as I felt that it would go with the washi tape and I picked colours for my image from the cute little arrows. The row of bling and the rub on numbers were additional elements from our sponsor.

When my card was finished I realized that you don't need traditional seasonal embellishments for a Christmas Card after all.

Ribbons and Pearls

Wow, you can really tell today that fall is just around the corner. Shudder at the thought of chilly days. Sad to say it doesn't really feel like we had summer this year.

Yesterday marked the start of another great challenge over on the Stamp and Create withMagnolia blog. Our theme this week is

Ribbons and Pearls

For my card I have chosen to colour Tilda with Little Pocket. I've paired her with some older papers from Memory box and added a little bouquet of flowers and a pretty bow as embellishment.

I hope that you will join us with your own creations.

P for Penguins

Good evening. I am running a bit late today.
I have stopped by to tell you all about the new ABC Christmas Challenge that started this morning. The theme for this go around is

P for Penguins
You can use a stamp, paper, the main thing is, there must be a penguin on your project.

My card for this challenge features an old favorite from Motivet stamps. These two little cuties have been coloured up to match a card base that I had preassembled a while ago. Maybe I should assemble a few more as it made for a simple card and it gave me a good direction when I started to colour my image.

Now it is your turn to show us your penguins.
Our challenge has been generously sponsored by our very own Lacey and her store
Stamp and Create is an on-line store based in the US. We ship worldwide with reasonable shipping prices.

One lucky winner have a chance of an awesome prize of s $20 gift certificate.
What are you waiting for?

Summer Fun

Good Morning! I hope you are all well and ready for another summer weekend.  I know that I am looking forward to a few days off work.  We are headed to the lake and I am hoping that the weather man is right for a change as they are calling for wonderful sunshine and warm temperatures.

I am here today with my card for the new challenge over at Stamp and Create with Magnolia. The theme this time around is Summer Fun so I have used Gone Fishing Tilda for my card. She has been coloured with Copics in colours that I hope give the image a fun summer feel.

Once I was done I dug through my paper stash to find some papers that I felt suited the image. The papers are quite busy and I was having some trouble figuring out how to embellish so I have kept it simple.  The only little girl I know won't turn 3 until next year. Oh well, I'm early! Hee hee.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge, don't forget that there is a great prize available.

What's Your Number

Good evening. Didn't get a post up this morning but I am here tonight to tell you about the new ABC Christmas Challenge that started today. The theme this go around is

N for Numbers

We have a fabulous new sponsor for this challenge , the winner will receive two free digis of their choice from Wendy's Etsy shop

My card for this challenge came together quite easily given that I don't seem to have many numbers in my stash. These cute little LOTV bears we're sitting there all coloured up just waiting to be made into a card. I dug around a bit and came up with a number sticker that I have matted on a diecut to give it a bit more punch. From there it was just a matter of digging through my stash to find some papers to pull it all together.

The end result is a little more bold than what I had imagined when colouring this image but I think it adds to the fun.

I hope you will join us and share your numbered creations. You never know, I just may need to go stock up after I've been inspired.

L for Little Gifts

Good Morning! I don't seem to be around much on my blog these days, I am busy trying out some new activities. I've taken up Pilates and I have been busy knitting up a storm having gotten back into that the other year.

I don't plan to give up my paper crafts though and I hope to be blogging more again soon.  I'm back today to tell you about the new ABC Christmas Challenge that starts today. It is hard to believe that we are already halfway through the year but this time around we have reached the letter L and our them is

L for Little Gifts.

This time around I have borrowed/stolen an idea from my mom and created a little gift bag made from a paper lunch sack. The front of the bag has been embellished using a gorgeous snowflake stamp from Hero Arts. I've stamped it using Distress Inks and then embossed it with holographic embossing powder to give it lots of sparkle.

On the back of the gift bag I have added a little sentiment just to keep it from being too plain. Nice and simple and the perfect thing to tuck a little gift into come the holidays.

I do hope that you are now thinking about joining us for our challenge.
This time around we have generously be sponsored by

who have provided a $15 gift card for one lucky participant.

K for Kiss

My second post for tonight is for the new ABC Christmas Challenge. Our theme for this challenge is
"K for Kiss"
Use a sentiment with "kiss" included or an image of  "kissing".

For my card I have used this cute Deer Duo image from Bugaboo Stamps. It has been coloured using some fun bright colours to pair with these wonderful papers that were in my stash from MME.  As the image is so large I have kept the layout really simple adding only a simple Kiss sentiment as embellishment.
Be sure to stop by and show us your own "Kiss" creations. We have a fantastic sponsor for this challenge:

The Prize is 3 Digital Images

Hope to see you there!

Clean and Simple

I have two quick posts this evening as I am playing catch up tonight. The first is for the current challenge at Stamp and Create with Magnolia where the theme is Clean and Simple.

For my card I've used  Lovleypop Tilda which I have stamped and coloured directly on the card. I knew that I wanted to add a little pennant to embellish but it looked a little blah all by itself so I've diecut the Magnolia cloud and used it as a mask to add a few clouds with Distress inks. A sweet birthday sentiment matted and  mounted with pop dots finished it all off.

Be sure to join us with your own creations for a chance to win.

Prize:

Jolly Old Elf

Good morning, I am a day late with this post but I can finally get to the computer. I am here to tell you about the new ABC Christmas Challenge that started yesterday. Our theme this time is

J for Jolly Old Elf

For my card I have opted to use a favorite image from Kraftin Kimmie. I had decided that I wanted to create a card in a more clean and simple style so I turned to Alice's Little Wonderland for inspiration. I've stamped the image directly on my card and coloured with Copics before adding some washi layers and a little sentiment. I think it turned out okay and the best part is that it can go in the mail. I don't think that it will replace my usual style but I do think you will see a few more cards done like this from time to time.

Now it is your turn. We have generously been sponsored by Wild Orchid Crafts

who have offered one lucky winner a £10 gift voucher.
What are you waiting for?

Some Bunny Loves You

Good Morning, I hope you are all well.  I have been away on a little vacation and did not get any cards done up in advance so my blog has been a little empty lately.

I am here today with a card for the new challenge at Stamp and Create with Magnolia.  The challenge this time around is to use 2 images. It can be an image with two people, two separate Magnolia stamps or Tilda/Edwin/Animal with a background but Magnolia Sentiments do not Qualify

For my card I have masked sweet Tilda and her Bunny with an older Magnolia fence background. The image has been coloured up using Copics to create a lovely spring scene, pretty soon we will have some lovely days like this too I hope.
As the image is rather large I kept the layout simple but I have gone a little over the top with the springtime embellishments.

I hope that you will us over on the challenge blog with your own wonderful creations.

F for Friend

Good morning! I hope that you are having a good week. I am here this morning to tell you about the new ABC Christmas Challenge that starts today. The theme is
F go Family or Friends

Our Sponsor for this challenge is
Prize - a $10.00 Gift Certificate for Sweet Stamp Store

For my card I've used one of my favorite stamps from Whiff of Joy. The little cuties have been colored up in traditional Christmas colours and accented with glitter for some holiday sparkle. My goal this year is to make most of my Christmas cards flat enough to go in the mail so I have kept the layout simple and used only a few enamel dots as accents.

I hope that you will be inspired to join us with your own creation. I look forward to seeing what you make.
Have a Great Day and Happy Crafting!

D for DieCuts

Good Morning! It has been a long time since I have been by here.
Things just seem to be getting in the way of blogging. I am working to turn that around though and I spent a portion of the weekend just colouring up some images to use on cards in the coming weeks so with luck I will be around some.

The card that I have to share today is for the new ABC Christmas Challenge. Our theme this time around is
D for DieCuts
a nice easy one.

Our generous sponsor is
and they have offered up a great prize of 5 Digital Images of the Winner's Choice.

As I mentioned, I have been colouring up a number of images and I have opted to focus on some images that have not seen a lot of used. I figure that I should probably try to use them a bit more often. The  lovebirds that I have used for this card are a fun image from Lili of the Valley.  I think that I have only used this image once before though I am not sure why that is.

After coloring it up in mostly neutrals with a fun splash of holiday bright, I dug through my stash and found these great Basic Grey papers. Keeping the layout simple, I have created a fun accent using some snowflake dies that I have layered up and embellished with a pearl gemstone. The sentiment has been stamped on a banner cut using the Tattered Banners die from Tim Holtz.

I hope that you will join us, I know that you all have some great diecut ideas to share and I look forward to seeing them.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

B for Bare Essentials

Good Morning!  It is so cold here, they are predicting temperatures of -30C again for today so bundle up and stay warm.

I had a wonderful time playing in my craft room this weekend and I have a new card this morning for new challenge starting over at ABC Christmas Challenge. The theme this go round is

B for Bare Essentials
(we want to see just the bare minimum of embellishments on your creations)

Care2stamp is our wonderful sponsor joining us this week and they are offering
a fabulous prize of a $15 Gift code to spend in the shop.

CAS is not my usual style and I often have difficulties with it but thanks to some bold pattern paper and this wonderful image from Kraftin Kimmie I have been able to pull it off this time around.
No embellishments means that this card is ready for the mail. I may even have to try this again!

I hope that you will join in on the fun, it is never too early to start getting ready for the holidays.

Anything Winter

Good morning and Happy New Year. I am not off to a good start with blogging this year but I plan to get back on track. The first card that I have to share with you is for the current challenge over at Stamp and Create with Magnolia. The challenge theme is Anything Winter, a nice easy one.

Challenge #26:
Anything Winter

Prize:

Stamp and Create carries a wide range of Magnolia stamps at some of the lowest prices!
And now let's see what the amazing Design Team has created for you this week...

Part of my focus this year is to create more cards that will go in the mail so I've kept the layout nice and simple. This card features Tilda with Snowheart and I have coloured her up nice and bright and paired her with some papers fro MME. A bit of twine and a dimensional flower sticker finish it all off.

You still have one more week to enter. I do hope you will show us your own winter creations.
