Bunny Hugs

Good Morning! It is time for another new challenge at Charisma Cardz and this week Gemma has chosen the theme of Easter.

We have two fabulous sponsors who have generously offered up prizes to two lucky participants.

Digistamp Boutique
Buy our digi stamps here...

Who are offering 6 individual digis of the winnners choice!!

and also..

Joanna Sheen

who is kindly offering one winner a £10 Voucher!

I had this cute little Tilda stamp that had not yet seen ink as it arrived too late for last Easter so I thought that it would be perfect for this challenge. I coloured it up without looking for papers first and then went looking for my stask and found these great papers from Basic Grey's Green at Heart collection that matched it perfectly.

For the layout I have followed this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday and then added an Easter sentiment and a bouquet of spring flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts to finish it all off.

I hope you will join us and share your own Easter creations. I look forward to seeing what you make.
Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to pop back again on the weekend, I will have another creation to share with you.

F for Furry and Feathered Friends

Good morning, it looks like I messed up the calendar and this post did not get published yesterday.  Today looks like it is going to be another gorgeous day here. The weather has been unseasonably warm and we have been loving it. My garden is coming back to life and I have been walking around at mid day with short sleeves. At some point you just know that we are going to pay for this after all, we should still be wearing winter coats.

Today marks the start of another ABC Christmas challenge. This week we are host by Helen and she has chosen the theme of
F for Furry and Feathered Friends

We have two great sponsors this week.

The prize from Lili of the Valley is a £10 gift voucher to spend in their online store!

and

The prize from Bugaboo Stamps is 7 free digis!

For my card, I have chosen to work with one of my favorite LOTV James Bear images. I have opted to use a different colour scheme when colouring him in and went with non traditional colours to match some great scraps of Christmas papers that were on my desk. I have added a LOTV sentiment which I have cut with my Spellbinders and then wrapped some tinsel wire in behind.

Altered Notebook

Well it is time for another challenge over at Charisma Cardz and this week the theme is Alter It. I had picked up a few spiral bound notebooks at back to school time with the thought of altering them for my nieces and never got around to it so I thought that I would give one a go.

I have used one of the Simply Sassy stamps from Sugar Nellie called High School girl and coloured her to match the cover of the notepad. I then found a few co-ordinating papers and went to work adding a few layers to jazz it up a bit. I have used some punches to add some flowers and a little dragonfly to embellish. Not sure how well that will stand up but we shall see.

This week we are sponsored by the fabulous
All that Scraps!!

One lucky winner will receive 4 stamps or 1 stamp set.
I hope that you will join us.

E for Evergreen

Good Morning, I am back with another card for the ABC Christmas Challenge. This week the theme is

E for Evergreen

We are asking you to dig into your stash and pull out all that Christmas greenery. You know, the tree and the holly and mistletoe and use that to decorate your card.

We have two great sponsors
Photobucket
and

who have each generously provided a voucher for a lucky participant.

My card this week features another previously uninked LOTV stamp which I have coloured in rich and traditional Christmas colours. I have worked with a new style of card which has allowed me to use this great frilly frame die from Go Kreate which I bought about a year ago and have hardly touched, it is just so easy to go for a square card but I really like the look of this one. I am going to try to work with some shaped cards over the next little bit as I want to try to put some of my dies to good use.

I hope that you will join us this time around for our challenges. I look forward to seeing your evergreen creations. Thanks for stopping by, be sure to pay a visit to the ABC Christmas Challenge blog and see the rest of the gorgeous creations from the DT.

Hush-a-bye Baby

Hello, I hope that you are all well. I am still recovering from that nasty bug that I had last week but my bark is now much worse than my bite and people are no longer afraid to come near me.

I thought that I would pop by and share this little card that I have made for my cousin's baby shower. She has chosen not to find out the gender of the baby before it is born so I have worked it in bright and sunny spring colours to match some wonderful MME papers rather than the typical pastel blue and pink.

In keeping with the spring theme I have added some cheery coloured flowers and then tucked in a few buttons because I think that they are a perfect touch to a baby card. The little is from LOTV and came with this great image.

Thanks so much for coming by, be sure to pop by again for a visit on Wednesday as I will have another card to share.

Good Morning. It has been a while since I was last here to post as I have been sick with a respiratory infection since last week. I am on the mend and I am back today with some exciting news to share, I have been asked by Carly and Gemma to join the Charisma Cardz team and this is my first week as part of the DT.

The challenge this week is masking and I have chosen to work with some of my much loved Magnolia images to create a twisted easel  card with a spring feel. The image was of course coloured with Copics to match these cheery papers from MME.
The layout was based on a sketch from Papertake Weekly and I have added a lace doily, a ribbon bow and some Wild Orchid flowers to complete that spring touch.

Here is a view of the complete card.

And here is a closeup of the sentiment panel.

I hope that you will join us in the challenge this week.  We have two great sponsors Simon Says Stamp and Pink Cat Studio who have both offered up some generous prizes for two lucky participants.
Before you play be sure to stop by the Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog and see the rest of the wonderful DT cards for some additional inspiration.

A Super Birthday

Good Morning, I know that I have been ignoring my blog lately. Things have been super busy at work, with any luck they should settle down a bit in a week or two.

I want to share with you a card that I made for my Dad's Birthday.

This card features the adorable Super Henry, a digi stamp from Whiff of Joy. I bought him a while back when he was first released but this is the first time that I have coloured him up and I love the way that he turned out.

The papers for this card are from the Basic Grey Oliver collection, the background was perfect for this as it reminded me of a night sky in a video game. In keeping with the masculine theme I have kept the embellishments simple and layered on several die cut stars to complete the layout and then added a few pearl accents.  A simple sentiment finished it all off.

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to leave a comment to let me know you were here. I plan to catch up on my blogging this weekend and as today is the last work day before a 3 day weekend here in Ontario I am sure that you will see me here again soon.

ABC Christmas - C is for Charming

Good morning, it is time for another new challenge on the ABC Christmas challenge. This week we are hosted by Miria who has chosen the theme
C is for Charming
our fabulous sponsors this week are

 Photobucket
with a fab $15 voucher excluding postage.
and
with a wonderful $10 Gift Certificate.

I didn't have a lot of time for my card this week so I went through my box of images that I had already coloured and found this cute snowman from Whipper Snapper that was ready to go. After deciding on my image I went through a pile of scraps that were on my desk and found these great complementary papers that are part of an older Fancy Pants collection.

The charm is a great little pair of mittens that if you look closely actually match the pair being worn by Frosty here. I have wrapped some twine around the base of my card to attach them and then tucked them into the base of this little floral arrangement of Wild Orchid roses and cherry blossoms. In keeping with the snowy theme I have also tucked a sparkly snowflake and a few gems into the mix.

I hope that you will join us this time around. It is never too early to get a start on cards for Christmas. Be sure to stop by the challenge blog for a visit and a peek at the rest of the gorgeous DT creations.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you will visit again soon.

Just a quick post this morning to remind you that you still have one more week to participate in over on the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog where the theme is
B is for Bears
with bunting, buttons, bows and brads.

This time around I have used another adorable LOTV stamp called James with Pile of Presents. All decked out in his Santa hat, he is so cute. I wanted to make a card with really traditional Christmas colours so I have coloured him with Copics to match these richly coloured papers from Basic Grey and MME.

The layout of my card is based off of a previous sketch from the Sketch and Stash challenge. I have pretty much stuck with the sketch but I have flipped the embellishments to the left side. The little metal plaque is from an older Making Memories collection and I have tucked some punched leaves and flowers from WOC in around it to finish it off.

Thanks for coming by today. I hope that you will join us in the challenge, I look forward to seeing your beary cute creations.

A Prescription to Get Better

What a weekend it has been. I received a call while I was on the way home Friday evening informing me that my dad who has been ill for a while now needed to go back to the hospital. So we spent the better part of the night in the ER getting him admitted. Just before I was to head over there again today, I received a call saying that he had been released. A big sigh of relief.

To help keep my mind from going places it was better not to go I did some colouring this weekend and I created a little get well card for him.  Dr Edwin is a special edition stamp from Magnolia Licious. I have coloured him up to match these wonderful papers from the MME So Sophie collection. As this is a masculine card I have kept the embellishments rather simple adding only a ribbon and a few pearls.

I hope that you have all had a wonderful weekend. Be sure to come back again soon, this was not the only image I had a chance to colour and if all goes well, I may have another card for you soon.
