ABC Christmas - Y is for Yuletide

Oh my gosh, today is the 1st of December. Only a few more weeks to get everything ready. Have you got your shopping done yet?  I have to admit that I am almost finished with that part but I still need to decorate and bake and I also have to mail  my Christmas cards this week so that they will get to their destinations before the holiday.

Thanks in part to so many wonderful challenges I have put together a good collection of cards but don't worry if you are not yet finished, we have another wonderful challenge to inspire you . This week it is Lorraine's turn to host and she has chosen Y for Yuletide. Don't forget to pop over to the ABC Christmas Challenge Blog where you will find some information regarding the meaning of Yuletide and some wonderful cards by the Design Team to inspire you.

For this challenge I decided that I wanted to do something a little bit different and felt that giving my card a vintage feel would be appropriate. I have not used traditional stamping for the image on this card. Instead, the images are photoshop brushes from House of 3. I played around for a while to get an arrangement that I liked, I printed it out from my computer using brown ink and then went to town with my distress inks and Copics to add some colour and age the paper a bit.
To make my card base, I have used Prism cardstock and a portion of a paper from Bo Bunny that already looked as though it was layered. I have stamped a sentiment and some soft snowflakes then added a flower and some stickles to finish it off.

Our wonderful teammate Lacey is sponsoring us this week with this wonderful prize, four of the most popular digital Christmas stamps from Wags and Whiskers.

So now it is your turn. We want to see your Yuletide creations.

Please use 1 or all of the following things to create your card or project
Holly & Berries
or
Red & Green
or
Candles

This card will also be entered into the following challenges:

What a great card Carissa, love the colours and the bird is beautiful!

You've asked about the stardusts on my card ... that's a bit difficult to describe, no stickles or stitching ... I've cutted them of a christmas decoration straw made of plastic ... :)

Have a great day, Hugs Tanja
