Holiday Helper Finn

Good morning, I am running a little late with my posts this week as it has been very busy. I am really looking forward to the weekend, no plans other than laundry, crafting and maybe taking in a movie.

There is a new challenge this week at ABC Christmas. Our theme is

H for Holiday Helpers

Our very own Lacey has generously sponsored this challenge through her store Stamp and Create.
And an awesome prize of

For my card I have gone CAS with Little Elf Finn. I have stamped and coloured the image directly onto the card and then paper pieced the ornament before adding a sentiment to finish it all off.  I think I need to work on a few more of these as they will be very easy to pop in the mail come Christmas.

I hope that you will join us for the challenge, I look forward to seeing what you create.

Snowglobe Memories

Do you remember how much fun it was to play with a snow globe at Christmas when you were a kid?
I've got a card to share today that will bring back those memories.

Our challenge this week at Charisma Cardz is to use acetate. I tried a few different things and then settled on an old standby and made a shaker card. You won't be able to tell from the photo but after stamping the large snowflake, I have doused it in Perfect Pearls which gives it a real shimmer all on its own. That wasn't enough sparkle though so I have filled this shaker with iridescent tinsel glitter before matting it on this card. These papers from MME paired with the image perfectly to give the card a real Scandinavian look to it.

We have two generous sponsors who are offering two of our lucky participants some wonderful prizes.

PRIZE ONE
Card Mad Fairy
Prize - 3 Digis of winners choice

PRIZE TWOJ&C Creations £10 voucher
If you are crafting, why not give your own acetate creation a try.

Have a great week!

G for Girly

Good Morning, it has been a long time since my last post. That flu that I had a few weeks back just wanted to hang around and work has been crazy as of late so I have not been up to much crafting.

I am hoping that blogger is playing nice today as this is a scheduled post. I am currently laying in the sun on a beach in Roatan Honduras. I will tell you all about it when I return.

Today is the start of a new challenge at ABC Christmas and this week our theme is
G for Girl or Guy Creations
nice and easy.

Our generous sponsor for this challenge is

One lucky Random winner will win 7 Digi images

of their choice :)

As I was running short on time before we left I opted to use a LOTV image that I had previously coloured but had not yet made into a card.
This little cutie matched perfectly with these great papers from MME.  I am trying really hard to keep the embellishments relatively flat for at least some of my cards this year. It seems that I never have enough that can go in the mail when December rolls around. For this card I've limited my embellishements to just a few flowers that pick up the colours in the card.

I hope you will join us for the challenge. I look forward to seeing your creations.
Have a great day and be sure to stop by again tomorrow as I actually have a second post scheduled for this week.
